Today’s historic woman is Courtney G

Courtney is the Founder and Executive Director of Unique Sisters all girls mentor program. Courtney founded Unique Sisters in January 2015 and is currently supporting 25 girls from surrounding Metro Detroit Area. Courtney’s passion has always lied in youth development services holding close to a decade worth of experience in k-12 education primarily working in Detroit Public Schools Community District.

Upon developing Unique Sisters she designed and implements their “Four Pillars of Success” curriculum that is targeted towards social-emotional support. As she encourages her girls to “Reach For The World” she knows it takes a village to support the mission of Unique Sisters. She has built successful carport partnerships and community network support from Starbucks Coffee Foundation, dPOP! at Quicken Loans, Michigan State University, DROUGHT Juice, Enjoy Detroit, and many more community organizations.
